SCHOOLS OUT It's the first weekend of summer in Southern California, and just as promised, Oliver Branigan is taking Jessica Tasker to the beach. Recently arrived from Kansas City, Jessica hates the beach. In efforts to impress her, what starts as innocent fun transforms into a mythical journey fraught with danger, encountering along the way volley playing spider women, a vengeful Mr. Universe, a bloodthirsty fortunetelling vampire, a gang fight, and jealous Cleopatra Queen of Egypt. All this and more to find some magical sandcastle supposedly built by an ancient alien race. After escaping death a second time, Jessica gets to thinking: "Will the first date be their last?
