Also known as "Mrs. Mac," Michelle M. McCorkle has a Master's of Education in Literacy/Language Arts and has been teaching middle school English for 18 years including a Health curriculum for 6 years. She finds that a lot of parents don't like to talk to their children about adolescent issues because they're too embarrassed, but this is where communication needs to be the strongest. She usually likes to incorporate touchy adolescent topics and realistic experiences of what it was like growing up in the '80's into her books.
