This work examines the universal ethics, known as the Noahide laws, at the root of the great world cultures and religions. It examines both the world view of this body of ethics and their practical detail. These universal laws and ethics have been endorsed by the United States Congress, the President of the European Union, the Governor General of Australia and a leader of the Muslim world, the King of Morocco. There awaits a testing of their resonance with people of Chinese-speaking cultures. Towards this purpose, the present Chinese translation of The Theory and Practice of Universal Ethics - the Noahide Laws, which sets out comprehensively these universal ethics, is timely and important.
